Today's Verse

"Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new." - II Corinthians 5:17

Have you ever watched a very young child leave his or her parent(s) for the first time, to go to school? It is a tear producing moment. The child is making its transition from baby to the first small steps in growing up. The same can be said about the moment when a heart decides to fully live for Christ. There is a transition, like from the old year to the new, where the former life (the baby) is exchanged for the new life (the adult). We need to simply take the Lord's hand with a spirit of humble devotion. He will guide every footstep as a dedicated parent and make sure that we grow magnificently. We may have to learn a lot along the way. But, He wants us to take that step. – Commentary by Lisa M. Leto
