Slipping Away

Today's Verse "As my life was slipping away, I remembered the Lord. And my earnest prayer went out to you in your holy temple." – Jonah 2:7 There will always be moments when you feel as if your life is slipping away. In this chapter, Jonah shares a good example with us. When Jonah disobeyed God's command, he ended up in the belly of a giant fish; his life was slipping away. Just as Jonah reached out to God in his time of need, we too can do the same. Truthfully, God longs for us to reach out to Him in all things. You may be facing a situation presently that has given you a feeling of slipping away. Stop and Pray. Give God the opportunity to hear your earnest prayer. Trust that even though it seems as though everything around you is falling apart that God is with you. He will guide you back into His loving arms if you let Him. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott Today's Prayer Father God, thank You that even though my world seems to fall apart at times that I can put my trust in You.
