New Heart, New Beginnings

Gospel Template

Today's Verse

"A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." –Ezekiel 36:26

Are you discouraged by things that have happened this past year? Perhaps there are some things that you've done that you regret. With God, each day is a day to move forward and leave the past behind. Don't let past mistakes hold you captive any longer; move forward this New Year with each new day. Whether things have been done to you, or you have made some mistakes yourself, your heart can begin to harden. Let God form a new heart and a new spirit within you, so that you can walk in joy and peace, fulfilling the purpose He has for you. Surrender your heart of stone to Him and embrace new beginnings this year. He is waiting to forgive and restore. - Commentary by: Traci Elliott

Today's Prayer

Thank you, Lord, for your grace and forgiveness. Thank you, that You will heal and restore this New Year! Amen.

Once again, it is the end of the week and the weekend is before us.  I want to thank our new Patreon subscribers.  Your support is very much appreciated and allows us to continue to do what we do and to grow our ministry.

Forgiveness and Healing

Gospel Template

Today's Verse

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

The verse speaks of God's conditions for His people in order to receive forgiveness and healing. God's condition is comprised by different sets of changes. The change of attitude (humble themselves,) a change of communication (pray,) a change of focus (seek my face,) and a change of mind (turn from their wicked ways.) When these changes are accomplished, it results in a change of action and character. This reminds us that we can never receive God's promise of forgiveness and healing if we will not make the decision to change. God is holy and righteous, but at the same time, He is gracious and merciful also. That is why He gives us opportunities to change even if He has no obligation to do it. That's God's wonderful love and grace. - Commentary by: Jeremy B. Trio

Today's Prayer

Lord, help me to change and forgive me for all my sins. Thank you for your love, and grace, despite my shortcomings and failures. Help me to change my life and to love you more.

"We're just people like everyone," says Grant Pearce, who has made it his mission to educate people about dwarfism. This is going to melt your heart, because this young boy has so much wisdom and strength. Believe me, there is a lesson in here for all of us.  Watch this video; read the article, and then take a few minutes to give some thought to the wisdom Grant sharing with all of us.  It will be life changing.

Have an empowering day!

Fulfilling a Vow

Gospel Template

Today's Verse

"But I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise, and I will fulfill all my vows. For my salvation comes from the Lord along." – Jonah 2:9

While there is still a lot more to Jonah's story then one or two verses, this verse in chapter two is probably one of the most important. It is here that Jonah begins to realize his true calling. It is here that he begins to see past his own selfishness and into the bigger picture. At this point he doesn't realize it yet, but God is teaching him one of the most important lessons a believer will ever learn. It is the lesson that reveals our reason for being. Each of us have been given a specific purpose in life and whether you can see it right now or not, it's there. Jonah makes a solemn promise to "offer songs of praise and fulfill his vow to serve the Lord alone." Today is a great day for us to do the same. - Commentary by: Matthew J. Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father God, today I pray the prayer of Jonah. I will indeed offer my song of praise to You and fulfill my vow in service to You alone. Forgive me and teach me, so that I may serve You in the best way I can. Amen.

Only because of you, does our community continue to grow. Thank you for you prayers and support.  Words cannot express our appreciation!

Gratefully yours,
David
