A Mentoring Spirit

Today's Verse "Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still selah." – Psalms 4:4 Did you ever have a mentor while growing up? Most of us can say, "Yes," to that question, at least to some degree. Your mentor was a person that you greatly admired, wanted to be like, a person who gave you advice, and inspired you. You had respect for them, and were thankful and blessed they were in your life. When we think about the Lord, in our life, we can't help but think about the word mentor. We can think of other titles for Him, like Father or friend. He is everything that we could ever hope to be. We could not possibly begin to look into the depths of His greatness and goodness. He inspires the heart. Let's have a spirit of reverence for his presence. Strive to be like Him. Spend time with Him each new day. – Commentary by Lisa M. Leto Today's Prayer Lord, please plant the seed of wisdom and understanding within my heart daily. You are my mentor, and the light of hope. I look to You always and magnify Your mighty name. Amen.
