The Door to Life

Today's Verse "I am the door, if anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, and find pasture." – John 10:9 Jesus is the door that we are meant to walk through when we become Christian believers. It is only through Him that we can be saved. When Jesus spoke of being the, "door for the sheep" (6:7) He was teaching the disciples this very truth, only those that enter their faith through Him will find life. His intent with this statement was to show that some people will try to walk the path of life in ways other than through Him. Jesus is the true door to life and without His guidance we will always be searching in vain for that greener pastures. A shepherd's flock is dependent on recognizing the voice of their shepherd. We too should be dependent on recognizing the voice of our Shepherd, Jesus. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott Today's Prayer Father God, thank You for always being the shepherd that will lead me through the door of life. Teach me to follow Your voice when You call me and to recognize the path You have planned. Amen. There have been some horrible events recently in our world.
