Today's Verse

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect." - Romans 12:2

Being a Christian requires being different and having loftier standards. Our daily decisions should be based on godly goals, not worldly ones. We are to avoid excessive indulgences, foul language, gossiping, endorsing movies or music that degrades people, and using God's name in vain. We should spend time daily in prayer and reading spiritual material in order to grow closer to our loving Father. This is how we can discern His will for us and have the strength to carry it out. God desires our happiness. When we have good and loving standards to live by it brings us that happiness.
