Today's Verse

"And he said, 'Bring them here to me.' Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds." - Matthew 14:18-19

In this passage, Jesus and the crowd of five thousand were in a remote and deserted place. It was already evening and the hour was getting late. The disciples were panicking, sending the crowds away, knowing there was no food except two loaves and two fish. Jesus calmly said, "Bring them here to me." Then an amazing miracle happened: "Taking the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves." After everyone ate and were filled, there were still twelve baskets of leftovers remained! In our Christian life, we will still experience trials and face tough times, but hold steadfast to God. He is waiting for us. Just as Jesus said more than 2,000 years ago, "Bring them here to me." Let us bring our petitions to Him without hesitation and fear. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is more than willing to provide and supply for our needs. - Commentary by Mark Natividad

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your unfailing supplications and provisions in my life. I continue to place my trust in You. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
