Today's Verse

"I will exult and rejoice in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have taken heed of my adversities, and have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place." - Psalm 31:7-8

One of the greatest things about following Christ is knowing that the Creator of the whole universe loves me. The proof of this is in Jesus, who gave up all the riches in Heaven and became poor, so through His poverty I might become rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9.) But how far does that love go? Well the truth is that God's love for us is not conditional. God knows the condition of our heart. No matter how desperately we wish not to be wicked, it is in our very nature, and He still loves us. He gave His only Son, so that you and I can live in relationship with Him. No matter how big the sins in our lives are, God's love and grace surpasses it. Today's Prayer

Father God, thank You for Your son, Jesus Christ, who modeled Your perfect love for us. You have searched my heart and do not see my imperfections because Your Son was formed in me. Holy Spirit, teach me to model this love to others, that I may be selfless and show love unconditionally to everyone around me. In Jesus name, Amen.
