Today's Verse

"Now the Lord said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing."- Genesis 12:1-2

What are the essential qualities of a successful leader? It is someone who is faithful, willing to listen, seeks wisdom, always willing to learn, and is genuine and committed. One of the greatest examples of this in the Bible is Abraham. God placed a great call of honor on Abraham's life. He called him to leave all that he knew and loved, to journey to another land that God would reveal. He also put him through a test that most of us would likely not be able to pass (Genesis 22.) Would we be able to sacrifice something precious in the name of faith? Abraham was willing and greatly devoted to the Lord. He was a great father and leader to many in Bible history. Father, I want to be all that You desire me to be. I pledge my heart to You. Show me the deepest desires of Your great heart of love today. Amen.
