Today's Verse

"And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:19

This verse speaks of a beautiful promise of God's provision. However, if we examine the entire context of the verse, you realize this is not just a promise for anyone. The specific recipients of the promise are the Philippian believers that the Apostle Paul mentioned as those who have generously supported him on his missionary journey. In response to their generosity, Paul expressed his gratitude and satisfaction. Then he said to them that God would satisfy their every need according to His riches in glory. We too can claim this promise, as we generously support God's ministry. Let us not forget to help and support our missionaries and ministers. This is one way to be a part of the ministry to expand the kingdom of God here on earth. Think on how we can generously give and not on how much we receive. - Commentary by: Jeremy B. Trio

Today's Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your generosity. You have shown me the perfect example of Your love and generosity by giving Your life for my sins. Help me Lord to do the same for You, by giving my life and my possessions to support Your ministry in order to reach more souls, so that they may come to know You and love You too. Amen.
