Pure Joy

Today's Verse "Dear Brothers and Sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy." – James 1:2 Dear Friends, there will always be troubles for us to overcome. They may be great or small, but one thing is for sure, they sure can teach us. Our troubles often make us feel inadequate, but it is in that moment of inadequacy that we need to look past whatever we are going through and embrace the opportunity to learn from those troubles. It is an opportunity to embrace Joy; pure joy through hardship. This is not an easy thing to do but in the end it will give you strength. Joy comes when we give our troubles to God and trust that He will help us through them, instead of trying to get through them on our own. Today, give whatever trouble you are facing to HIM and trust that He will give you great Joy. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott Today's Prayer Father, God, I desire joy in the midst of trouble.
