Today's Verse

"Be careful for nothing: but in everything by prayer, and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Phillipians 4: 6, 7

Have you ever watched a long distance marathon on television? Runners pace themselves for the long, winding trail, and then stop at various rest stations for water and a cool towel. Did you ever observe the look on their face when they stop at these stations? It is a look of perfect relief to quench their thirst and stop the perspiration from the heat of the day. As we continue upon the pathway of life, we have refreshment for the toils of our travel. We need to come before the Lord in prayer, and make the desires of our heart known. He will then open the gates of heaven by His grace and pour out all that we need. This can include: peace, comfort, tranquility, etc. He wants to make each of your steps a little better, a little lighter, and a little happier. Please open your heart and life, and receive His amazing love, His beautiful grace, and the raindrops of His refreshment today. - Commentary by Lisa M. Leto
