Today's Verse

"We do not want you to become lazy. Be like those who through faith and patience will receive what God has promised. "– Hebrews 6:12

Faith is more than just saying a few prayers and living a better life. Often we take that first or second step in our journey and forget to keep going, thus becoming lazy. Here, the author of Hebrews encourages the reader to take the next step. It will not be easy It will take a deeper dedication to grow your faith and to continue to follow God's teaching. However, the author also encourages the reader in stating that they will receive what God has promised them. This is a great reminder for us, the world offers so much temptation and distractions that can keep us right where we are in our journey with God. The challenge for us is taking the next step in our walk of faith. Don't let the world around you keep you where you're. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father, God, thank You that we too can step out in our journey of faith. I pray that as I do this You will show me great and wondrous things. Help me trust in Your plan for my life. Amen.
