Today's Verse

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." - John 10:11

Jesus desires that we will all know the same love that He knows which comes from The Father, who is God. He wants us to understand that He will do whatever it takes to help us gain even the smallest glimpse of love in the brokenness of the world around us. As the Shepherd of life, Jesus wholeheartedly desires that we know the love that He knows. No one can ever take this love away, because it's given freely to all that accept it. Whether we like to admit it or not, understanding love is one of humanity's deepest desires. As you go about your day, take a moment to think about Jesus as the Good Shepherd of Life. Let the love of The Father embrace and engulf you in His light. - Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father God, I know that it doesn't always seem like it, but I am so blessed by the life You have given me. Teach me to understand Your love better today. Remind me often that You are the Good Shepherd. Amen.
