Today's Verse

"But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoptions as sons." – Galatians 4:4-5

At times following the rules can seem hard and make little sense, but they do indeed have purpose. There is always more to the big picture. Each of us have the opportunity to be redeemed and adopted into a higher law, the law of God. God sent His son so that we might find this redemption. He did this so that He could bring us, 'into the family.' This love gives us purpose. God's spirit lives within our hearts and as heirs we have the opportunity to embrace His glorious family. As you go about your day be encouraged that redemption belongs to you and that you have been adopted into His law of love. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father, God, I desire so many things in life. I pray today that You will remind me to give You the glory for what I have been given and that I will seek Your laws above all others. Amen.
