Today's Verse

"Pride only leads to arguments, but those who take advice are wise." – Proverbs 13:10

Sometimes the best way out of a tough situation is to step back and let others offer you their perspective. Many times when we can let our own stubbornness get the best of us. This can lead us down the path of destruction if we are not careful. Instead of trying to solve everything on our own let's work together. When we open ourselves to this, it may seem pointless at first but, in the end, we will find that we were able to work through whatever situation we were dealing with a lot faster and with a lot less stress. Trying to solve everything on our own can weigh heavily upon our shoulders if we are not mindful of the impact pride can have on our hearts. Take some time today to seek another's advice. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father God, thank You that I don't have to face the tough situations in life on my own. When they come I pray that I am able to accept the advice of others so that I may overcome them. Amen.
