Today's Verse

"For whoever has will be given more, will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them" – Matthew 25:29

Each of us has talents that we can offer to God. These gifts are unique to who we are. All too often, we think, "I know I can do what they are asking, but I'm not going to because someone else can." What is important to remember is that you may actually be the only person who is meant to do what needs to be done. Today's passage is a reminder that we need to use our gifts when we are given the opportunity to do so or face the possibility that it may never come around again. In reality, we are only given a certain amount of time in this life to offer others our gifts. If we don't offer them when the opportunity arises that gift is lost once that time is up. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father God, I desire to bring glory to Your name through the gifts You have given me. I know I'm only given a certain amount of time to use them. I ask today that You show me where I can do so. Amen.
