Antidote for Anxiousness

Gospel Template

Today's Verse

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." – Philippians 4:6

Anxiousness is simply a lack of faith. This is one of the problems that we are facing today as Christians. It seems easy for us to be anxious than to trust God. On this verse, the Apostle Paul provides three simple and yet effective solutions for anxiousness. The first one is by prayer. The word prayer here actually means worship it means you should come to God in reverence and awe. When you worship God, God is magnified and you will realize how great God is. Know that God is greater that the things you are anxious for. The second one is petitioning which means asking God for your needs by presenting it to Him. By this, we are assured that God hears our petitions and therefore there is nothing to worry about. The third one is thanksgiving in which you should show gratitude by looking back on what God has done for your life. Looking back on God's goodness and provisions helps build our faith and eliminates anxiety. – Commentary by Jeremy B. Trio

Today's Prayer

Lord, forgive me for all my worries and doubts. Help me to put my full confidence in You. I surrender to You all my anxieties and commit everything under Your love and mercy. Amen
