Today's Verse

"What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you came to believe, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth." -1 Corinthians 3:5-7

Have you ever found it difficult to share your faith with others in an authentic and effective way? I keep coming back to the verse above. Maybe sharing the gospel isn't always about telling people every detail of what it means to be saved or spouting off a cliché message that you have memorized. Maybe sharing the gospel is more about planting and watering seeds in people's lives. These seeds could be an act of kindness that is not expected or sharing what Jesus has done in your life that might help another. In other words, while we may be the person who will bring someone to the point of salvation, it may also be that we just need to plant a seed that will get the process started. Start with a small act of faith and God will bring the growth. – Commentary by Traci Elliott

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing each of us to salvation through Jesus. Teach us and empower us to share that salvation with others, in big ways and small ways, as You give us opportunity. Amen.
