Stepping Out in Faith

Today's Verse "We do not want you to become lazy. Be like those who through faith and patience will receive what God has promised. "- Hebrews 6:12 Faith is more than just saying a few prayers and living a better life. Often we take that first or second step in our journey and forget to keep going, thus becoming lazy. Here the Author of Hebrews encourages the reader to move on to the next step. Taking this next step is not so easy. It will take a deeper dedication to growing in God. However, the author also encourages the reader in stating that they will receive what God has promised them. This is a great reminder for us today, the world offers so much that can keep us right where we are in our journey with God. The challenge for us is to take action and to have faith. Don't let the world around you keep you where you're at. - Commentary by Matthew Elliott Today's Prayer Father God, thank You that we too can step out in our journey of faith.
