Today's Verse

"Though you have not seen him, you love him and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy." - 1 Peter 1:8

There are always going to be times when we feel as though we cannot see God in our lives. We may be facing a tough situation at the time and think to ourselves, "Where are you God," but the reality is that He is always with us. The poem, "The Footprints in the Sand," is a poem that can serve as a reminder of this. One of the last lines says, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you. Never, ever, during your trials and testing's. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." As you work through your trials and testing's, remember that God is with you carrying you every step of the way. Remembering this will fill you with His glorious joy. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father God, I know that You are with me, in the worst of times and in the best of times. I pray that today You will show me where You are carrying me and that I will see Your inexpressible joy in my life. Amen.
