Today's Verse

"If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone..." - James 1:5-6a

We all need wisdom; it's what gives us the knowledge to overcome the struggles we face. Wisdom is our guide to growing in God. It teaches us the difference between right and wrong. As we gain more of it in our lives we can pass that knowledge to others. It is important, however, for believers to seek wisdom with God at the center of our hearts. If we are not loyal, then life becomes divided between Him and the world around us. Pure wisdom comes not through the world, but through God. If we ask Him for it wholeheartedly, He will not rebuke us. Instead, God will teach us many wonderful things. Take every opportunity you have to seek His pure wisdom and then apply it to the way you live. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Father God, I know I struggle with knowing what it truly means to seek Your wisdom. I pray that You will help me seek your wisdom wholeheartedly along my journey.
