Today's Verse

"But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8

Despite what Scripture tells us, it is easy to feel that if we mess up or sin, somehow God's love for us has diminished. The good news that the Bible talks about though is that God's love for us is constant no matter what because Jesus has already taken the punishment for our sins. When my children disobey or fail to listen, I may be disappointed, but I could never stop loving them. When I discipline them, it is meant for their well-being, not because I love them any less. God has been described as a Father in the Bible, so if I feel this way about my children, then God in His perfection feels this infinitely more!
