Today's Verse

"The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps." – Proverbs 16:9

It's an age old question, "what should I do next?" It's often difficult to know what the next step in life should be. There are three things that I usually do when I am faced with major life decisions. First, I bring it before God in prayer; asking Him to show me the way. Second, I seek Godly counsel from those I trust. Third, I ask the Lord to confirm what I think He's telling me. Sometimes He tells me to wait; the answer is on its way! Sometimes doors open without a problem. Other times it seems like I don't have an answer one way or the other. In those times I may take baby steps in different directions, asking the Lord to guide me, as I go. Whatever you may be facing, know that when you seek Him; He will show you the way! – Commentary by Traci Elliott

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the plan You have for us! Guide us in life; we want to do Your will! Show us step by step what we should do next and help us to seek You with all our hearts. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Christmas season is upon us. Christmas is only a few weeks away. Often we get wrapped up in buying presents, hurriedly planning parties, dinners, etc.., that we often forget what Christmas means. Please take time each day to remember the true meaning of the season.
