Today's Verse

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." - Deuteronomy 31:8

What was the one favorite toy that you adored most as a young child? Perhaps it was a teddy bear or a little blanket. You took such immense happiness in it. Your parents knew to make sure that it was always with you. They knew that it brought you great peace, and gave you feelings of the warmth and love of home. As adults, we need that same strong, lasting comfort, especially in today's challenging world. Yet, we do have the perfect source of peace that is with us always. When we accept the Lord as our Savior, He lives within us. But, we must be receptive to His goodness at all times. He is everything that we need. His presence and love fulfills us. It is a treasure that we can hold close to our hearts, and rest upon. He never fails or goes away, so you never have to be fearful for any reason. - Commentary by: Lisa M. Leto

Today's Prayer

Lord I know that you are my peace and comfort. Help me to always rest in you each day, and draw great strength from your amazing love. Amen.
