Today's Verse

"But, my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:19

The household microwave is a handy appliance. It facilitates the preparation of food in record time. Our society today can be thought of in somewhat the same manner. We live in a fast paced environment. Things are desired quickly and perfectly. But, two key factors are missing: patience and expectancy. The only source of perfection and value comes from God. He is our provider and will give us what we need at the right time. It may not always be what we want, however. But, it is always what is best for us. Sometimes, this concept is hard for us to accept. Only those things that come from Him are worth having. He is our source of replenishment like a breathtaking waterfall of hope and life. But, we must have patience and be willing to wait upon Him with a heart of great expectancy. God's timing is not our timing. His timing is perfect. Have patience and wait on Him to fulfill your needs at exactly the right time. – Commentary by Lisa M. Leto
