Today's Verse

"Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise." Ephesians 5:15

This verse tells the Christians in Ephesus, to be careful on how they live their lives. The word careful here means to be exact. It means that everything we do should have direction and purpose. Apostle Paul added that they should live like wise people and not like fools. This reminds us that God placed us here on earth with a purpose, and we should live our lives daily in fulfilling that purpose; edifying God's will for us. Christ lived on earth for only 33 years, and He spent only three years in His ministry, but He never missed His purpose and goal. On His last breath at the cross, He said "it is finished." Nothing is wasted; everything was done according to God's will. Let Christ be our example on how to live our lives. - Commentary by Jeremy B. Trio

Today's Prayer

Lord, help me to understand your will for me, so that I can live my life according to your purpose. Just like the Lord Jesus Christ, help me to be wise in spending the years of my life here on earth. Amen.
