Deuteronomy 6:5-7 | | | The title of pastor is a commission from God's heart for an individual to be a teacher, and a shepherd for His kingdom. This person must listen for God's voice, and be attentive to His will. God's word is His guidebook. Perfection is not an issue. But, faithfulness and obedience are the important keys to success. When we think about the calling of Godly parents, it is taken in the same context. They must listen for God's voice and be attentive to His will. God's word is their guidebook. They are His hand servants ready to fulfill His mission. Their goal is to strive to be a beautiful example of His great and mighty image. They have the task of raising the children that God has bestowed to them, according to His guidance. The word must then be taught in every aspect of the children's lives. It must become the greatest part of who they are, so the children can grow into the amazing adults that God has plans for them to be. It is a great legacy! – Commentary by Lisa M.
