Gospel Template Today's Verse Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Luke 11:34 | | Though it is not commonly used anymore, old literature, especially English literature, has preserved the expression, "looking at it with all of his eyes." It means that someone is entirely absorbed in what or who he or she is looking at. Unfortunately, it is often the most heinous things that gets all of our eyes, but the important people and spiritually pure things that we only half see. Jesus spoke of this, "Our eyes, like a lamp, lights the way that our whole body goes." When our eyes are not distracted or divided, but whole, or spiritually discerning, the rest of our lives will be marked with righteousness. Shameful sins will not take place. We will not even be interested in seeing them.
