Today's Verse

"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." -Psalm 37:4

Are you in a place of waiting for a particular desire? It is easy to worry that our desires will never be fulfilled and we almost give up hope. I encourage you to keep hoping for your desires, but to also do something else—surrender them to God. I don't just mean saying to God, "I surrender my desires to you," but that in your heart of hearts you've come to the place where you have completely surrendered to God's will and timing; that you will praise Him (delight in Him,) whether you get what you want or not. It may take some time to get to that place in your heart, but keep seeking it. Once you have surrendered completely, you may or may not get your desire right away, but you will have something else as you wait: peace and contentment. -Commentary by: Traci Elliott

Today's Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You that You care about our desires and fulfill them! Help us to praise You in all circumstances and be content; whatever Your timing and will may be. In Jesus' name, Amen.

No matter what we as humans go through in life, there is always something to be grateful for or smile about. You just have to be open to looking past the obvious and seeing what God has in store to brighten your day. In this video, a young man named Andy, gets to experience a kindness from a stranger, and in turn we get to experience Andy's uplifting day, that is sure to put a smile on your face.
