Nurtured in Nature

Gospel Template

Today's Verse

"In the morning, while it was still very dark, he got up and went out to a deserted place, and there he prayed." Mark 1:35

I love spending time with Jesus. When I am going through tough times in my life, and I need a quiet place to talk to Him, I love to walk in the woods among nature. I feel so close to Jesus there: among scurrying animals, birds singing and talking, the gurgling water of a creek, the whisper of pine trees, and the crunch of leaves underneath. It is in nature that I feel nurtured. After my talk with Him, I feel so relaxed and relieved, as if a burden has been lifted in the sharing of my problems. I usually end my conversation with these words: "whatever your will is for me, Lord, that is what I want too." I often wonder if Jesus felt this way when He would go off to pray to His Father. Being in someplace quiet, where there isn't any interference, is a great way to have a one-on-one conversation with Him. But know He is everywhere and if you can't get out in nature; just know He will be where you are; just call out His name. - Commentary by: Anna Pachaud

Today's Prayer

Oh Lord, I love You so much, and I love spending time with You. You're my best friend. I never have to worry that my conversation with You will be twisted or gossiped about. I know You are there for me to call on 24 hours a day. Whether I come to You in grief or gratitude, just know I am so thankful for all You are to me. Amen.

We can all use something to smile about and this video will absolutely make that happen. It just proves that animals like humans need love and affection too.  Watch this enchanting little fellow and let him bring a smile to your face.

Have a wonderful day.
David
