Gospel Template Today's Verse "Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual up building." – Romans 14:19 | | Have you ever wondered why the word peace is so important to our faith? Truthfully, the answer is quite simple. Peace is what binds the hands of time. As we live our lives, we hear things like "We need world peace" or "Let us unite together in the name of peace." The reality is that while those things are important to think about, there is a deeper meaning to the word. Peace is the absence of war and the ultimate war is all around us. We don't often like to admit this, but it's there and every day that spiritual battle rages on. However, if we pursue peace in our lives, we work to build ourselves up in Christ. As we do this, His protection and direction will find its way to us. - Commentary by: Matthew J.
