Today's Verse

"Indeed, just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the son gives life to whomever he wishes." – John 5:21

Have you ever felt as though everyone was fighting against you and that no one was standing with you in your time of need? Here is something to think about: God, the Father can do anything, and He is continually standing beside us as problems come our way. While this scripture is often thought of literally, there is another way to be encouraged by this passage. In the midst of our struggles, God comes to bring life both physically and spiritually. It may appear as though no one is with you at this point in time, but someone is and that someone is Jesus. Trust in that promise and be encouraged by the life that He can give you in the midst of your suffering. Jesus brings life in many ways, all we have to do is look for it. - Commentary by: Matthew j. Today's Prayer

Father God, I know that You are always with me and I know that You do indeed bring life in many different forms. Help me to see that more in the world around me. Amen.
