Today's Verse

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6

There have been many times in my life that I have wished I could pick up the phone and call Jesus. I'm sure you know what I am talking about (1-800-call Him.) I know, that's a little silly, or is it? Sometimes all I need is a friend on the other end of the phone that is listening to me. But other times I need the ultimate counselor, my very best friend, Jesus, to help me through my problems. Of course, there is prayer, but the writer in me has found another great tool to communicate with Him and that is writing Him a letter. I keep a notebook near me at all times, that way when I am overly burdened I write Jesus a letter, just like I would to a friend or family member. In the letter I pour my heart out to Him and at the end I always make sure I gratefully thank Him. I know I can't put it in a mailbox and mail it, but I know He got it, because He gets it! He is all knowing, all encompassing, He is everywhere. Whether it is through prayer or a written letter, He wants us to communicate with Him. - Commentary by: Anna Pachaud

Today's Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You for allowing me to unburden myself. It is such a relief to know I can de-stress and recharge with You. Thank You Lord for everything You put in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
