Today's Verse

"The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps." -Proverbs 16:9

It's an age old question, what should I do next? It's often difficult to know what the next step in life should be. There are three things that I usually do when I am faced with major life decisions. First, I bring it before God in prayer, asking Him to show me the way. Second, I seek godly counsel from those I trust. Third, I ask the Lord to confirm what I think He's telling me. Sometimes He tells me to wait, that the answer is on its way. Sometimes doors open without a problem. Other times it seems like I don't have an answer one way or the other. In those times I may take baby steps in different directions, asking the Lord to guide me as I go. Whatever new step you may be facing, know that when you seek Him, He will show you the way! - Commentary by: Traci Elliott

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for the plan you have for us! Guide us in life; we want to do your will! Show us step by step what we should do next and help us to seek you with all our hearts. In Jesus' name, Amen.
