Today's Verse

"Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective." James 5:16

The verse states that confession of sins and prayer has great contributions to physical healing. James tells the believers that if any of them are sick, they can ask the elders of the church to pray for them and to anoint them with oil. We often look up to the elders or leaders of the church as those who are spiritual and mature. They can pray for us in times of sickness and other afflictions. The verse also says that we should confess our sins and pray for one another for the purpose of healing. Confession and prayer are the best ingredients for physical and spiritual healing. So let us not neglect the importance of both. Let us also experience the joy of helping our brothers and sisters in Christ, by confessing our sins and praying for one another. - Commentary by: Jeremy B. Trio

Today's Prayer

Lord thank You for giving us church leaders and people whom we can trust and that will pray for us when we are sick. Thank You for giving us brothers and sisters in the church who are also willing to help us and pray for us. Amen.
