Today's Verse

Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. - Psalm 100:3

This verse is part of the entire chapter's call to worship. The first verse of the chapter calls worshipers to make a joyful noise to God, to serve Him with gladness, and to come before Him with joyful singing. Then verse three tells us that we should acknowledge three things in order to worship God with all our hearts. We should acknowledge that the Lord is God, He is our creator and He owns us. What we know about God and who He is in our lives comes out on how we worship Him. It's like breathing. You inhale more knowledge about God and who He is in your life by reading your Bible and accepting the things you have learned about Him. Then you exhale or express who God is in your life as you worship Him. - Commentary by: Jeremy B. Trio

Today's Prayer

Lord, help me to know more about You, accept the truths I have learned, and submit to Your sovereignty and power. Help me to use what I have learned about You in my worship. Because worship is all about You and is for You alone dear God, Amen.
