Today's Verse

"No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it." - 1 Corinthians 10:13

The verse speaks of three truths about trials. First, trials are common to all. It means that you are not the only one who is undergoing that particular trial. Others are experiencing the same or even worse. Second, let us remember that God is faithful. He will not allow us to suffer trials that are beyond our capacity. Third, just like pain, trials are temporary. God himself provides a way out. You might experience the pain for a while, but you can endure it with the assurance that soon all these things will just pass away. This verse also reminds us that when trials come, we have the assurance of victory over them. All we need to do is completely trust in God and claim the victory. - Commentary by: Jeremy B. Trio

Today's Prayer

Lord, thank You for being my faithful God. Yes there may be lots of trials and testing that will come along my way, but I have a great and faithful God, who will help me get through all of it. Help me Lord to trust You more and more each day. Amen.
