Gospel Template Today's Verse "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." - Matthew 5:48 | | | Did you ever have a time in your life when someone treated you badly and caused you to hurt inside? We can all probably say yes to that question. It broke your heart and crushed your spirit, robbing you of the great joy that should fill you. The human nature within us would motivate us to respond in much the same way with bitterness and darkness. We want to hurt the other person as they have hurt us. When we give our heart to the Lord, we need to walk as He would walk. No one is perfect. This is a true statement. But He will give us the strength and the help that we will need to be more like Him. He has a perfect heart of love and grace that is always ready to forgive. This may not be an easy task but it is the right one. - Commentary by: Lisa M.
