Today's Verse

"Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive." - Colossians 3:13

I recently saw a sign at a store that I absolutely love. The sign was made of wood and it had a big steaming cup of coffee on it. And the word coffee was used as an acronym, C.O.F.F.E.E. Below it, the sign said "Christ Offers Forgiveness For Everyone Everywhere." The big steaming mug of coffee drew me to the sign, but the words under it gave me pause. I can't count the times that I have asked God to forgive me and yet I admit I sometimes struggle with forgiving others when I have been hurt. Sometimes I just want to cling to my hurting heart but that isn't right. We need to make allowances for other people's faults and forgive those who have offended us. God wants us to forgive out of gratitude for all that He has done for us. Don't give in to your hurtfulness and don't hang on to bitter feelings. Today's Prayer

Dear Lord, I come to You today, asking that each and every person will seek forgiveness from their sins, as well as offering forgiveness to others who have hurt them. Help us to let go of our hurt feelings towards others. In Jesus name, Amen.
