Today's Verse

"For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength. But you refused." - Isaiah 30:15

When hard or frustrating things happen in life it is easy to want to wrestle against them. We question why is this happening or why can't it just be this way? It is easier to get upset when circumstances don't go our way, rather than trust that God has a plan in it. I saw a book once by Corrie Ten Boom that was titled, "Don't Wrestle, Just Nestle." That title has stuck with me. We would have so much more joy if we could just nestle into the Father's loving arms, trusting that He will help us through our circumstances. Instead, we often refuse His comfort and give in to worry and fear. Let's work on nestling instead of wrestling! - Commentary by: Traci Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father, it's so hard for us to rest when we don't see the outcome of our circumstances. Help us to accept your help and comfort, and trust that You will see us through all of our difficulties. Amen.
