Today's Verse

"My friends, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted." Galatians 6:1

The verse tells of Apostle Paul's advice to the Galatian believers about how they should respond to a brother who has committed sin. Believers who claim to be spiritually mature should seek to restore their sinning brother in the spirit of gentleness and to be careful not to be tempted. The word restore here is like mending a broken net. Paul added that if you want to restore a broken person, it has to be done gently. This reminds us that we should care and help our brothers at all times especially if they fall into sin. We should restore them back to the right path and not to reject them or condemn them. On the other hand, we are not exempted from the possibility of committing sin, so we should watch ourselves and be careful not to be tempted. - Commentary by: Jeremy B. Trio

Today's Prayer

Lord, help me to look at my brother's transgression as an opportunity to help them, and not a reason to judge them or reject them. Help me also Lord to be watchful and careful, so that I will not to fall into sin. Amen.
