Today's Verse

"Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with and indescribable and glorious joy, for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls." – 1 Peter 1:8-9

This chapter, in 1 Peter, has always been a favorite one of mine. It is a great reminder that joy is everywhere if we are looking for it. It is a perfect reminder that through Him we receive a great and powerful faith. We receive salvation for our souls through embracing His loving arms. There are always times when we are going to want to see where God is at work in our lives and we can't. Sometimes God's plan is just hard to see and sometimes God Himself is just hard to see. However there is always one gift that we can see and it comes in many different forms. In a smile, in giving a helping hand, or even in the weather. Today's Prayer

Father God, I long for Your spirit of joy in my life. I know it's there, I just struggle finding it in my everyday life. Give me opportunities to embrace Your joy today. Amen.
