Today's Verse

"He came as a witness to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him." - John 1:7

Have you ever watched a house restoration project whether in person or on television? It's really an interesting endeavor. Gifted craftsmen take an old run down house and foresee great things within its walls. They then combine their incredible talents to restore life and beauty better than ever before. The finished product is truly a breathtaking sight. When we come into the presence of God and the light of His great love, we are run down vessels. We are worn out, and overcome by sin, life, and the cares of this world. Yet, Jesus the Master Craftsman sees great things in us. It is through His perfect blood that we are cleansed of all of our sins and our burdens are lifted. He gives us fellowship with other believers, strengthens and restores us to be His breathtaking new masterpiece in which He is greatly pleased. - Commentary by: Lisa M. Leto

Today's Prayer

My Father, thank You for the cleansing power of Your blood. It is through its light that I find new strength and life, and a new endurance for tomorrow. Amen.
