Eye on the Prize

Today's Verse

"looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God." – Hebrews 12:2

Do you ever see the immense suffering of the world and wonder how you could ever endure such things yourself? Or, perhaps you are facing the hardest time of your life right now and you wonder how you will ever make it through. Jesus shows us the way to get through even the worst of circumstances. He endured the physical pain, the shame, and the spiritual separation from God, not just by having internal strength, but by keeping His eyes fixed on the reward at the end. This verse says, "for the sake of the joy that was set before him" He was able to endure. Pain is much easier to bear when we have a goal in mind, or an end in sight. Remember through your sufferings that there is an end to it all; it won't last forever. Jesus and heaven, are waiting! - Commentary by: Traci Elliott

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that we have so much to look forward to. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on You and the joy that is ahead. Amen.

Today's video shows identical twins chatting with each other. Take a look and see these two precious babies in their crib together. It is sure to put a smile on your face.

Have a blessed day.
